What personal information we collect
When you request a survey or send an enquiry
Our survey request form asks for details such as your name, email address, phone number, property address or postcode, the type of service you need (for example damp proofing, dry rot, wet rot, woodworm or basement waterproofing) and any message you choose to include.
When you submit the form, your details are sent to us by email. They are not stored in the website’s database.
When you phone or WhatsApp us
If you call us or message us on WhatsApp, we will receive your phone number and anything you tell us during the call or in your messages. WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (part of Meta) and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
When you become a customer
If we carry out a survey or work for you, we keep the information needed to provide that service, such as your contact details, property address, survey findings, quotes, invoices and payment records, and details of any guarantee issued.
When you browse the website
With your consent, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the website and how well our advertising works. This can include your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, and actions such as submitting the survey form or tapping a phone number or WhatsApp link. You can choose which of these to allow using the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time using the “Manage consent” link. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
How and why we use your information
We only use your information where the law allows us to:
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a survey: because you have asked us to, and this is a step towards entering into a contract with you.
- To carry out work, issue invoices and provide guarantees: to perform our contract with you.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records: to meet our legal obligations.
- To deal with follow-up questions, guarantee claims or complaints: in our legitimate interests of running our business and supporting our customers.
- To measure website use and the performance of our advertising: only with your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- To protect the website from spam and misuse: in our legitimate interests of keeping the site secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision making.
Website analytics and advertising
Google Analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and how many survey requests, phone clicks and WhatsApp clicks the website generates. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Google Ads: we advertise on Google Search. With your consent, Google Ads records when someone who clicked one of our adverts goes on to submit the survey form, tap our phone number or tap our WhatsApp link. This tells us which adverts are working. We do not receive your name or contact details from Google through this.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel: with your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure visits from Facebook and Instagram and to help show relevant content to people on those platforms.
Google reCAPTCHA: our survey form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. This checks information such as your IP address and how you interact with the page, and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

- Meta, for the Meta Pixel and WhatsApp
