BETTY SHEDDENOctober 15, 2024What can I say about Simon and his team ! Absolutely first class workmen who went all out to fix our problems in bathroom and kitchen. It was a very traumatic time for an elderly couple like ourselves but they looked us straight in the eye and told us not to worry ,that they would fix it and they did exactly that , basically giving us back two new rooms . Can’t thank them enough . Would 100% recommend them .

Molly McCarthySeptember 25, 2024Simon came out at short notice and surveyed our property for suspected dry rot free of charge. He was clear about the extent of the issue and really friendly and reassuring about what work would be required and the cost. After the fact, he wrote us up a thorough report and even called to suggest options to help with the buildings insurance which was really kind! The price quoted for the work was reasonable and it was great to hear from someone who really knew his stuff. Would highly recommend :)
Robert FindlayAugust 30, 2024I contacted Simon by email on Wednesday asking for a survey to be completed. He responded virtually straight away and was at my property on the same day. Survey was comprehensive and a full written report was provided, along with required quote, for works needing carried out. In addition Simon highlighted 'other' works which needed immediate attention, not work that he would carry out but essential nevertheless. First class service, extremely professional and i would happily recommend their services.

They did what they said they would do, documented everything in advance, updated with issues without being dramatic and sorted the various challenges that came up. They worked with my plumber and joiner to get the best all round result. Cannot compliment their operation highly enough.

However at the time we done what most people do & went for a different company with a cheaper quote, which ended up being the worst decision. Not only was the work unsafe, substandard & finished poorly, our property was further damaged & not rectified by the company. Thankfully Simon came to our rescue when we got back in touch. Within a few hours he had spoken to our loss adjuster & provided a detailed quote & report. When work began, Simon knew straight away our property was unsafe & made sure our insurance understood this so we could move to alternative accommodation. Over the course of 6 months, Simon & his team diligently worked to repair and make our home safe again. His knowledge & expertise is exemplary added with brilliant communication. I was always kept in the loop & he was more than happy to chat through everything. The work was impeccable & I truly cannot recommend this company enough. We now have a safe, damp & dry rot free home, I dread to think where we would be without SMPS in our corner. Thank you again!
Richard CraigAugust 17, 2024SMPS had to come back to our building (see earlier review below) to tackle another major job and it was done in double-time with minimal mess or fuss. Over the past months they've always been responsive to questions and the work onsite is very thorough, removing and replacing any infected structures. SMPS tackled a complicated case of dry rot in my flat and the building. They cleared out the decay in no time and restored the old tenement features. --- Unlike other contractors, they diagnosed the problem without asking you to shell out hundreds of pounds for a survey. When onsite, the team were polite and aware of the stress this type of work entails for owners. When the work was done they left the flat very clean. Communication was straightforward with SMPS - they get through the work quickly and effectively.Load more
